Biopsies SUCK, literally. In my case, 6 needles sucked out tissues from large nodules in my neck. This type of biopsy is done while you are fully awake. All I got was a topical cream that numbed the top layer of my skin.
Have you ever had dental work that required a deadening shot? Imagine the tearing of flesh as that thick needle was pushed into your flesh..that's what the biopsy needles felt like going in. I could feel it break into my flesh...then there was this pressure and pulling and pain as the needle sucked the tissue out. Six. Times.
The office appointment for results was set for July 6 but I rescheduled it. Even though I will fret everyday until I know, I did not want any news on the 6th. July 6 is my anniversary and my daughter's "gotcha" adoption. finalization day and that is a day for only good things.
My results will be on the 10th.
Deep breath. Pray. Keep busy.
