"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."
a 22 yr cancer survivor,14 year lung cancer advocate, 2 yr liver disease survivor, public speaker, blogger, writer, oncology patient navigator, and social media zombie. I am walking the walk.
I am the Vice President, Support and Survivorship Programs for the leading lung cancer organization in the United States and also manage the Foundation's Blog and social media strategy. Support and advocacy for cancer patients and their families became my calling when my dad was diagnosed and passed away from lung cancer in 2003.
My passion is to educate and inspire hope while offering support to those impacted by cancer and to train and coach others to do the same over social media and in their local communities.
"When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better."
Read and share my blogs. Leave a comment! I want to hear from you!
